About Coin Counter
The Coin Counter adds up a jar, drawer or till of mixed coins and notes and tells you exactly how much it is worth.
Enter how many of each denomination you have and the tool multiplies value by count for every line, then sums the subtotals into a grand total and counts the total number of physical pieces.
The default rows cover common coins, but every denomination is fully editable: rename a line, change its face value, or add and remove rows so the tool fits any currency or a custom set such as casino chips, tokens or arcade credits.
Each subtotal is rounded to two decimal places so the final figure matches what a bank or coin machine would give you.
It is handy for emptying a change jar before a bank deposit, reconciling a cash register at the end of a shift, or teaching children how coin values add up.
Because it works purely in your browser, your amounts are never uploaded or saved anywhere, and the calculator keeps working offline.
Counts must be whole numbers and values cannot be negative, so the running total is always a sensible, real-world figure.
FAQ
Can I use this for currencies other than dollars?
Yes. Every denomination label and value is editable, so you can set up euros, pounds, rupees or any custom set of coins, notes or tokens.
Does it round correctly?
Each line subtotal and the grand total are rounded to two decimal places, matching how banks and coin-counting machines report values.
