About Days Until a Date

Days Until a Date counts how many days lie between today and a date you choose, and tells you whether that date is still ahead or already behind.

It shows the gap in whole days and whole weeks, along with a short plain-English summary like "in 12 days" or "5 days ago".

By default it counts from today, but you can set a different reference date to count between any two days.

Countdowns are everywhere in daily life: a holiday, a launch, a birthday, an exam, a deadline, the end of a trial.

Knowing the exact number — not a rough guess — helps you plan, and seeing it as weeks as well as days makes longer waits easier to grasp.

Because the tool compares calendar days rather than exact moments, the answer does not flicker with the time of day; a date one calendar day ahead reads as one day, whether it is breakfast or bedtime.

The summary uses correct singular and plural wording, and matching dates simply report "today".

Everything is computed in your browser with no uploads, and because the reference date is explicit you always get a clear, repeatable answer.

FAQ

Does it count from today?

Yes, by default. You can override the reference date to count between any two dates instead.

What does it show for a past date?

It reports the gap as a number of days "ago" and marks the date as being in the past.

Does the time of day affect the count?

No. The tool compares whole calendar days, so the result stays steady throughout the day.
