About Debt Snowball Planner
The Debt Snowball Planner shows exactly how a focused repayment plan clears your debts and how much interest it costs along the way.
List each balance with its APR and minimum payment, add any extra you can put toward debt each month, and the planner simulates the payoff month by month.
You can choose between two popular strategies.
The snowball method attacks the smallest balance first for quick, motivating wins, then rolls each freed-up payment onto the next debt so your "snowball" grows.
The avalanche method targets the highest interest rate first, which usually saves the most money overall.
The tool reports your debt-free date in months, the total interest paid, the total of all payments, and the exact order each debt is cleared, so you can compare the two approaches side by side.
Interest is accrued monthly on each balance before payments are applied, and minimum payments from cleared debts automatically cascade onto your current target, just like a real snowball.
Everything is calculated locally in your browser — no account, no upload, no tracking — so you can model sensitive numbers privately.

FAQ
What is the difference between snowball and avalanche?
Snowball pays the smallest balance first for fast motivation; avalanche pays the highest APR first to minimise total interest. Avalanche usually costs less overall.
Why does it say my payments will never clear the debt?
If a debt’s minimum payment is smaller than its monthly interest and no extra targets it, the balance grows forever. Increase the minimum or your extra payment.
Is my financial data sent anywhere?
No. All calculations run in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded, logged or stored.
