About Resize / Crop Image

The Resize Image tool scales a picture to the exact pixel dimensions you need, right inside your browser.

Drop in a JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF and the current size is filled in for you; type a new width or height and the preview updates immediately so you can dial in the perfect fit for a thumbnail, avatar, banner or upload limit.

By default the aspect ratio is locked, so changing the width recalculates the height (and vice versa) to keep the image from stretching — the most common thing people want.

Unlock it when you deliberately need a non-proportional size, for example squeezing an image into a fixed box.

The tool always redraws from the original source at the requested dimensions, so resizing up and down repeatedly never degrades the result beyond a single clean resample.

All scaling runs locally through the Canvas API, which means your image is never uploaded, stored or logged — safe for private photos, screenshots and client assets — and it works offline once the page has loaded.

When the dimensions are right, download a lossless PNG of the resized image.

FAQ

Is my image uploaded to resize it?

No. Resizing uses the Canvas API inside your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

Will locking the aspect ratio stop distortion?

Yes. With the ratio locked, the other dimension is computed automatically so the image keeps its proportions.

Does resizing reduce quality?

Each download is a single clean resample from the original, so quality stays as good as a one-step resize allows.
