About Bionic Reading Converter

The Bionic Reading Converter rewrites ordinary text so that the first few letters of every word are bold.

These bold "fixation points" give your eyes anchors to jump between, which many readers find lets them move through a passage more quickly and with less re-reading.

It is a simple typographic trick, but on dense paragraphs the effect can be surprisingly noticeable, and it is especially popular with people who find long blocks of uniform text tiring.

Paste or type your text on the left and the bionic version appears instantly on the right.

A single slider controls the fixation intensity: lower values bold just one or two letters per word for a subtle guide, while higher values bold closer to half of each word for a stronger pull.

Short words always keep at least one bold letter so the rhythm stays even, and spaces and punctuation are preserved exactly.

When you are happy with the result you can copy it as HTML and paste it into a document, email or web page that supports rich text or markup.

Everything is computed locally in your browser — your text is never uploaded or stored — so it is safe to use on private notes, articles and study material, and it keeps working offline once loaded.

FAQ

What does the intensity slider change?

It sets roughly what fraction of each word is bolded. Lower values bold fewer leading letters; higher values bold closer to half of each word.

Can I paste the result into a document?

Yes. Use “Copy HTML” to copy markup with <b> tags, which you can paste into rich-text editors and web pages that accept HTML.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded or stored.
