About Screenshot Beautifier
The Screenshot Beautifier turns a flat, utilitarian screen capture into a polished image ready for a blog post, social card, slide deck or documentation page.
Drop in any screenshot and it is instantly placed on a colourful gradient backdrop, given breathing room with padding, softened with rounded corners and lifted off the page with a drop shadow — the classic "hero shot" look you see in product launches and changelogs.
Every control updates the preview live.
Pick from a handful of hand-tuned gradients, dial the padding up or down so the frame feels balanced, set how round the corners should be and toggle the shadow on or off.
The maths that positions your screenshot inside the padded frame is a small pure function, so the layout stays predictable at any size — a tiny mobile capture and a wide desktop window are both centred and framed correctly.
Crucially, the whole thing runs on the Canvas API inside your browser.
Your screenshot is never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere, which matters when the capture shows private dashboards, customer data or unreleased work.
When the framing looks right, download a crisp, lossless PNG at full resolution.
FAQ
Is my screenshot uploaded to a server?
No. The image is composited with the Canvas API entirely inside your browser, so it never leaves your device — safe for private or unreleased work.
What resolution is the output?
The screenshot is drawn at its original pixel size and the padded frame is added around it, so the result stays sharp at full resolution.
Can I use it for non-screenshots?
Yes. Any image works — product mockups, logos or photos all benefit from the gradient, padding and rounded-corner treatment.
